We are looking at booking a Getaway at this resort. We have stayed at multiple locations nearby but never at this resort, which appears to be huge.

My favorite thing is chilling by a pool, especially one with a water feature where you hear the water falling. It appears at least one pool has this by looking thru pics. What recommendation would anyone have as to what sections to stay in related to their favorite pool (and why).

The getaways i am seeing list 6/8 for occupancy. We would not mind a bit of noise or walking a bit as long as the section is near your favorite pool.

Thanks in advance !

Are you referring to the original Sheraton Vistana Resort or the Vistana Villages?

Assuming it is the original Sheraton Vistana resort the most common picture you see of the pool with the waterfall is usually for the pools in the Fountains phase.

Cascades phase also has a nice large pool. There is a good recreation center and eating options at either area. We own in Cascades but usually ask to be in the Lakes phase as it adjoins the fountains and is just as close to the Fountains pool.

I’m not sure if it matters to you, but the Fountains will not have elevators if you are on an upper floor (3 levels). Cascades are a bit smaller and parking is more crowded but buildings have elevators.

The lakes phase has elevators, good sized units, is a bit quieter and good access to the fountains pools so we usually request that area.

If you like being more central with the marketplace and sales center close by then cascades may be a better choice.

Enjoy!

Both the Fountains and Cascades pools tend to be buisier. I am not sure one is more busy than the other. Though Cascades has a big splash pad area as part of the pool there. Fountains has swim lanes that are also used for pool volleyball. We tend to prefer the quieter areas of the resort and pools are secondary but you can also search for the resort on YouTube and turn up a lot of videos showing the resort and the different areas.
