Vistana mid-week refresh benefit change? now 10 days from 7 days?

DP: Stayed at WKORVN in May and we received our mid-week tidy. Also had family staying at KBC (HGV) down the beach and they received their mid-week tidy too.

WKORVN has improved their service significantly since we were there 2 years ago. It appears that they hired a lot of new staff because there was a shortage last time. The housekeeping staff appears to be from Latin America because they only speak Spanish.

Touché. I called them out on it and said I expected a mid-week tidy (if only on principle). I refuse to give them more for less unless it is strictly stated in a form or regulation. They postured, but finally relented and gave us a mid-week tidy. I will call them out on it when I do my owner's update for 50K BPs next week (here for 2 weeks).

"I refuse to buy more because of Marriott's continual erosion of Starwood brand standards, for example taking away midweek tidy"

If enough people told sales that I 100% guarantee it would come back.

Sales don't care or run resort operations. If you want things to change the fill in the guest satisfaction survey and mark it accordingly. The GM is incentivised via the GSI, as long as they keep scoring over 85%, then you stand no chance of getting change done. Until other owners/guests agree with you and mark GSI accordingly you are a lone(ish) voice.

Disagree. Sales care a lot about making sales. If they think something is a problem and and report it to corporate, it'll get changed, because management's #1 priority is new sales.

I hope that happens, but I've never seen or heard of any evidence that it does.
Keep up the good work!

I wonder if the Hawaii properties are still offering the mid-week on a 7 night stay to stay in line with Marriott Vacation Club resorts that still do the same. Perhaps on the mainland they are trying to phase out the mid week and no longer offering it for just a 7-night stay?

We are at Princeville and they are providing a mid-week tidy during our stay, which we will politely decline with the do not disturb sign hanging on the door.
