Vistana Beach Club opinions

Hi All,

I'm trying to get some opinions from those who have stayed recently at Vistana Beach Club. I've searched back and didn't really find much, but what I did find were mostly positive. I have an exchange on hold for early December 2019 (for some relaxing beach time after a short Disney cruise from Port Canerval). I know that is a good bit in the future but I'm curious to know any positives/negatives from anyone who has recently stayed here. It was the first match to ongoing search that I had in place for east coast Florida beachfront resorts (20 TPU's). I don't necessarily want to jump the gun, but don't want to pass on a good thing either. It is a Sunday check-in date. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe their units are currently undergoing renovation, so you should end up with a freshly renovated unit. That said, I believe Sunday checkin are assigned to the ocean front tower. Good for the view, but keep in mind that there is no in unit laundry. I believe however that there is free laundry on each floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the extra bedroom has two twins. We only stayed for one night and thought it was okay. The pool didn't look to be big enough to support the amount of people that could fill the units, especially during high season, but the beach was right there. The beach did have a lot of erosion and there was a huge drop off. We did drive around the area some and liked what we saw. Lots of public beach access parks where you could spend a day. The area had that old Florida beach town vibe. We would probably go back, but wouldn't stay a week and would probably use StarOptions for 3-5 nights. There were a few restaurants within short driving distance, but I suspect many others about 15-20 minutes away.

Here is a video I created for the resort, check it out.

Thank you dioxide45 for the info. Very helpful & cool video !

I will also add, if there are perhaps two couples traveling together it can make for an awkward bathroom situation for units in the Ocean Front tower. The only shower is located in the second bathroom. The master bath only has a jetted tub. I don't know if they plan to change this during renovations (dear God I hope so), if not you will need to work out a shower schedule with whoever you are traveling with.

I stayed there last year.
The Friday and Sunday check ins are in the Oceanfront building.
The units are nice and the balcony is big.
Spent a lot of time on that balcony.

The town is very sleepy but if you want peace and quiet this is the place to go.
And yes the bathrooms are very funky. They connect with a shared door.
I do agree they need to take out that huge tub. It makes no sense.
This resort has a 1 in 4 restriction in RCI so I probably won't go back for a
while unless I get it thru Interval.

I'd take it for 20 TPUs. It's a good value at 20 TPUs.

I have stayed there for a week 4 different years - most recently Feb of 2017. I go with my girlfriends as a post holiday relaxing getaway. It is definitely old Florida. No real resort features. Very small pool and no restaurant. We love it because it is so close to the water and is very quiet which is what we like. We go into the towns for happy hours but also spend many happy hours on the balcony. Glad the units are being refurbished as they really need it. If you want a sleepy post-cruise place this will work but if you are looking for action this isn’t the place.
