Will Hyatt do a virtual presentation over zoom? I bought a tour package at Carmel Highlands last year and the dates they have for in person presentations is very thin in October , when we will already be in CA. The have offered to tour and have my stay be in the spring or today , left a voice mail to see if they could do a zoom presentation / sales pitch . I live on the east coast and can’t make that long trip again until the spring.

Why would you want that?

You can learn everything you need to know about Highlands right here -- in your spare time, and not while on vacation.
I wanted to get a deal to stay there a few nights. Put a small deposit down already. They say my window to book ends in the fall and they won’t give me a refund on the deposit .

That place costs something on the order of $600 per night -- if you can get a room.

I've stayed there several times, and I think it's one of the nicest timeshares on the entire planet. Unless you can make the tour dates work for you, you'll probably be best off just eating the deposit.

The first time I stayed there, there was a wedding reception in the main building. One of the guests wanted a room and couldn't understand what "no vacancy" meant. Demand is off the scale there.

I have asked to have the stay separate from the sales pitch. So far, I am getting nowhere. Even asked if the deposit can just go towards a meal and drinks.

With my limited experience with the front desk, they bend over backwards for owners. And everyone else is lucky if they can get the time of day. "Not an owner? The answer is no."

This is just what I have observed while waiting in line to check in. In the case of that wedding guest, I had to pipe up from the back to get him to quit pestering the front desk for a non-existent room. "You're holding everyone up and there's no room at the inn. Try a manger." (This was near Christmas.)

We are Hyatt owners but we aren't Carmel owners. The front desk and front desk managers are super kind and accommodating. BTW, the salted caramel that the concierge gives you when they try to sign you up for a presentation is almost worth the presentation all by itself haha. Okay well not really but they throw an additional $250 on top of that, and I am one who actually happens to enjoy the presentations. Our most recent stay was one of the first time ever the presenters actually presented us with a purchase price. Most of the times it's just chatting, asking Qs, and then pleasant goodbyes.

With us as well. I should have been more clear -- Hyatt owners; not specifically Carmel.

They always call me a week before check-in and ask if I have any special requests. I always ask for a case of Pliny the Elder to be waiting in the fridge. That's never happened. But there's always been a bottle of something fairly nice in there as a result.

I would suggest you try to reschedule the stay package. I've seen positive responses to that approach.

Waiting for a response to extend the marketing package into 2025. I need to book my airfare for the October trip .

My presentation there was pleasant and fast.

They could see that from my history report that the club provides the sales person on all your ownership, stays and prior sales presentations. They could see that they had very little chance of selling me into the Hyatt Portfolio Program. So, it went fast. If you can possibly get there you should. You will enjoy the Highlands Inn. Fly right into Monterey if you can.

We are looking at March and April dates that work for Hyatt Vacation Club! It should work out for us now !

I just had the exact same experience with the sales team at Pinion Pointe. Saw I had no interest in buying points from prior meetings, no pressure, done in 15-20 minutes and the Hyatt points posted to my account before our trip was over.

Just saw an ad on Facebook for Virtual Sales Presentations. Was recently told by Hyatt that they don’t do them . SMH

I received a call and played some phone tag with a rep in FL a couple weeks ago about the virtual preso. First time I head heard of such a thing. I didn't qualify because I'm using a package in a few months in Sedona. Which honestly, I would think they would have verified that before calling me. It must be a new program, because they didn't seem to have it all together. After verifying that the access package disqualified me, they called the next day and left another message. Then the following day they called and left a message for someone else entirely who had apparently scheduled a virtual presentation. It seemed kinda like a bit of a cluster honestly.
