:D Hello all. Looking for information on the Boardwalk Resort and Turtle Cay in Virginia Beach. Opinions on the resorts, the areas they're located in, things to do, etc all welcome. Does anyone know how much it costs just to walk on the fishing pier that's a few blocks away from the resort? How is the Rockfish restaurant? How are the pools at Turtle Cay and Boardwalk? Warm? Clean? Which has nicer rooms and amenities?

Thank you all in advance!!!

Why come to the beach and not get an oceanfront room? I have seen that the rooms and pools are nicer at Turtle Cay, but cannot believe the ones at Boardwalk are not very nice.

It really depends on what you do at the beach. We have stayed at both and if you really enjoy hanging at the pool and walking the beach Turtle Cay is definately the way to go.

If you like to sit on the balcony and read and watch the ocean boardwalk is the way to go.

What I don't like about Boardwalk is that there is no outside pool.

What I do like about Boardwalk is you can use all facilities at beachquarters which include two pools and workout room.

love Turtle Cay--locatoin and pools!

for kids, TC can't be beat! large pool only 3 feet deep or so. 2 nice hot tubs in lava rocks. beautiful landscaping. At the less crowded end of boardwalk--and the street you cross is not busy at all and you are right at beachwalk---in fact, it can be shorter to get to beach than to stay at BQ on the berach next door, b/c you have to walk down hall to lobby to get out. I consider TC to be pretty much oceanfront--except for the view.
