Booked Vino Bello via Hotels.com not realizing its an SVC property. Agreed to the 1 hour presentation in exchange for 2-$25 credits at some wineries and free tastings at about 10 wineries. We made that work for us as most tastings are $20-30 pp. Another couple apparently was offered a $100 credit or something. We were told Wyndham owners get better gifts. No idea if that is true or not.

Offering started at 7000 SVC pts for about $45k (sale today). We went into it thinking an hour was worth it for the gifts and I think it was as we had zero intentions of purchasing and never felt any urge to do so. Sorry I didn't pay attention to the other pricing but I had zero interest.

Nice accomodations and onsite winery. Haven't really checked it out yet. Will do a resort review later once I have seen it all.

Good thing you didn't buy. That is a huge amount of money for something I received without paying a dime.

We are heading there in December, exchanged into the place and going with some friends. The exchange was a bargain. I couldn't see paying the points required to stay at the resort. It was going to cost something like $2,000 in points to stay in a 2 bedroom Vino Bello. We got our week for about $800 via exchange.

Well, I won't share what I paid for a 2 night stay because your exchange deal is great and mine was just ok, although a lot cheaper than alternatives in Napa. I can't envision a situation now where I would buy from a developer again.

Make sure you use those free tastings in Napa Valley where they charge for tasting. Some of the wineries on that list they give you are in Sonoma and they don't charge anyone for tasting. The coupon is a bit dishonest saying you can use it to get free tastings at wineries that don't charge for wine tasting.
