Vilar Do Golf, Portugal feedback request

Hopefully this is the right forum, apologies if not.

I'm looking to do a trip to southern Portugal in May and there is II inventory for dates that suit at Vilar Do Golf. I've currently got a cancellable reservation at the Marriott Pine Cliffs, but am hesitating at the price tag, and Villar Do Golf is less than half the price. I know the general location of Vilar Do Golf as I looked round the Four Seasons across the road in May last year.

There will be at least 2, possibly 4 of us, all adults, not golfers. We're not fussed on fancy, but it needs to be clean, a useable kitchen so we can have breakfast and snacks in. We'll have a car to get around and don't need to spend lots of time at the beach. A heated hot tub on site is a must. We don't need restaurants on site or close by as we can drive out as needed.
I've stayed at White Sands Beach club and other than the Jacuzzi being cold it was just what was needed, so have that as a comparison.

All input appreciated

Not sure if you are in the HGVC Owners or resale FB groups or not, but Brian posted a while back that he visited it while there staying at Vilamoura and said it is nice. You can reach out to him if you are in one of those groups and know who he is.

Just did a search in the HGVC Owners group and there are a few:

Do a search in the group for it to see others

Thanks, got one that has info and I've asked for clarification. It looks like its just the thing so we'll probably give it a go.

@Hindsite I haven't been there but it I looks nice based on the photos in the Diamond Resort Members European Resort Photo Album and Reviews Group. Would be interested in your review as I would like to try it sometime.

I couldn't remember if you'd been. I'm almost convinced to go, and also Palazzo at Soriano, north of Rome. Just need to work out if I can get from Faro to Rome easily.

We almost went here since there is good availability in DEX EU and may still when we go to Portugal. HGVC Vilamoura is too hard to book.

Good to know. We also have access to II and like options to stretch our ownership. Is there a resort fee in II for this resort?

I went in September. The 2 bedroom units are great. It's a townhouse, with a powder room, large living room (with sofa bed), large dining area and a very well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove, microwave) on the main floor. The second floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.
Very clean. Was reno'd fairly recently.
Embarc members can book directly on our own site using points.
