Resorts Owned
Holiday Inn Club Vacation, Hilton Grand Vacation Club, Vidanta Celebrate Park
I own a vacation week at the Nuevo Vallarta Vidanta World resort through the Celebrate Park package. I bought this package 5 years ago but the park still is not open. I am looking to sell this package but have not seen any resale postings or any advice on the best way to sell or rent this week. I have been contacted numerous times by so called brokers looking to buy or rent my week for corporate customers, but don't trust them since they are usually scams. Looking to see if anyone has been able to successfully sell their Celebrate Park package and what company they used to do this.

There's a reason you're not seeing any sales listed. Look into the details of your contract. You will, most likely, find a clause regarding sale/transfer of ownership. More recent Vidanta contracts require a transfer fee of 10, or more, usage fees to effect the transfer. This puts the cost into the thousands of dollars.

It is possible to "rent" weeks at the right times of the year. But, it takes some effort to do so.

But, whatever you do, do NOT any of the companies that cold call you, which you have already received a few. They are ALL scams that will cost you more money and still leave you owning the contract.

Best case scenario is to use what you have. The Vidanta resorts are very nice (especially Riviera Maya and Nuevo Vallarta). Enjoy them. It's part of what attracted you to buy into them in the first place.

There are strong indications that an initial part of the Park will open in Fall 2023.
The current name is now Vidanta World

You can use TUG Marketplace to rent . Redweek also is a valid rental platform.
Presidents Week 2024 would be a good rental week. The catch is that you would have to reserve and pay before renting.
Alternately - there may be some market for request a date rentals ; because of the 1 in 3 rule on exchanges.

100 % scams

As @rboesl has said - the transfer cost that is written in your contract is anywhere from 5 to 10 times the current MF or Usage Fee
It is also quite possible that the buyer would only get access to the remaining 5 years of your contract .

Vacation usage by you is the main value in Vidanta ownerships.

Thank you for the info. I have not been able to locate my Celebrate Park contract after moving in 2021 although I could ask Vidanta about the sale/transfer clause. In 2018, the Celebrate Park week fee was $1,950 so it probably will cost $20,000+ to transfer this contract to someone else even with 5 years remaining on the contract? No wonder I do not see any listings or resales.

@GGR that amount is probably close. You should call Vidanta and ask for a copy of your contract. They follow the contract conditions to the letter, so you should have a copy.
