I have 2 Vidanta TS, that they like to call Membership Clubs and 10 weeks of "Ambassador Weeks". I was received an email from the resort directly that the weeks are going to expire in January 2025. They are wanting to buy back all 10 weeks at $850 each to sell and in will return $1950 on Feb 5 for each week I sign over to them. Of course, I have to pay the $850 each up front. This smells like a scam and I cannot afford to spend the money up front if it is not legit. They have also lied to me many times in the sales presentations, but I love the resorts that I have been too. Has anyone accepted this offer and have they delivered on what they have promised and have a contract for? This is my first time here, so if this is on the wrong thread, please tell me where it should be posted. Thanks!!!

The e-mail you received was probably not "from the resort directly". It was from the scam company pretending to be the resort. Even though you were lied to many times in the sales presentations, that has nothing to do with the scam company that emailed you.

Thanks, but it was them, I called the direct number I have for them. I just don't fee good about paying the up front fee. My dad always told me it's never a good think to chase bad money with good hoping to get the bad money back! This feels like that is exactly the case on this email.

Of course it's a scam. The key here is they want all that money up front!

Once you give them the money you'll never hear from them again......

.
I feel like that is true in this case. I love the resorts and the employees working there, I just can't stand the "sales" staff.

I would tell them, if they really want to buy them back, pay you $200 each by sending you $2000; instead of you sending them $8500 and then they sending you back $17,000.

I just read how the Ambassador program worked in 2017-2021. It was nothing like the scam set up they are doing to you. I still think they may be spoofing Vidanta's number because that sounds nothing like the Ambassador program.

The Ambassador Program is legit and has specific rules and requirements.
It has been used by Vida Sales as a bonus part of upgrade presentations .

In my opinion the email you received WAS NOT SENT BY Vidanta . It was sent by Scammers !!!!

If you check the sender email address it will likely not be from one of the legit / recognized Vidanta or Vida Sales email address's.
It will be from a similar looking SCAMMER email .

Vidanta regularly sends out legit emails warning of these phishing scams ; and states that "We do not buy back or rent your weeks"

They have also lied to me many times in the sales presentations, but I love the resorts that I have been too. Has anyone accepted this offer and have they delivered on what they have promised and have a contract for? Welcome to TUG.

Vidanta runs great resorts - which is why scammers target Vidanta owners.
Also Vidanta's records were hacked a number of years ago- and scammers were able to get access to owner's information.
This will likely not be the last scammer email or phone call you receive.

Yes - Vida Sales is very aggressive with their presentations ; and many TS salespeople
are known to tell "alternate truth " information if this can get you to buy and / or upgrade.
