Vidanta Emperor's Private Reserve
We purchased 6 weeks for Emperor's Private Reserve from Vida Vacations in 2023. It was a 10-year contract. At the time of purchase the Vida Vacations salesperson told us that Vida Vacations would purchase up to 4 unused weeks from us beginning in 2027 and provided us with yearly payment schedules based on the no. of weeks they purchased. The contract was presented to us as an investment, but the purchase of unused weeks was not included in the contract we signed, and we were told by the Vida salesperson not to disclose this to the closing attorney. We are worried that since the agreement to purchased unused weeks was never documented in writing that we may not honor their promise to buy back unused weeks in 2027. Has anybody encountered a similar situation with Vida Vacations? If yes, how did you handle the situation? We were thinking of requesting a written promise from Vida Vacations.

They won't honor it if it isn't in the contract. The sales person lied to you to get you to make the purchase. Flat out lied. They didn't want you to say anything because, well, they lied.

This has been one of their lies for about 20 years. Luckily years ago we found out it was a lie during our 5 day recission period and we recinded.

Too late to do anything about it now. So your choices are to either use the weeks you have, or stop paying. Lots of threads on here about stopping payment.

Hiding something from an attorney should have been a red flag whack on the head.
