Verizon VS. T-Mobile: Which Carrier is Better? (Full Comparison)

I had Verizon service from 2003 through 2021. I switched to Mint Mobile (TMobile) after that and now pay $240 per year for more data than I ever got with Verizon, plus unlimited everything else. In my experience Mint/Tmobile has 4G and 5G coverage that is at least as good as Verizon (if not better) in the metro areas and suburbs. In the rural areas Verizon has an edge and I find that Mint/Tmobile coverage tends to have more dead spots.

But all things considered, the extreme savings that I achieve with Mint Mobile, I don't ever see myself going back to Verizon. $240/year vs about $1000/year for the same plan? No-brainer.

Yes I don't understand why you would want to pay more with either? Why not just get a cheap plan with one of the resellers?

I like the T-Mobile free wifi on flights.

T-Mobile also offers plans that include international roaming, but high speed data can cost extra, depending on the country and plan.

My T-Mobile plan includes high-speed data and texting in foreign countries, and calls at $0.25/min. Perfect for us since we rarely call, and data/text is much more important when traveling.

Yea, if you have a GSM phone (so AT&T or T-Mobile) that you own - there's really very little reason I can think of not to go with Red Pocket Wireless and pay 180 every 360 days for 5GB a month, or 240 for I think 8 or 10GB a month. I don't think I ever thought it made sense to pay $50-$100 a month a line for data and service from a major company.
