Location, location, location! My sister and I want to transfer a one bedroom fixed summer vacation week Sandstone Creek in Vail, Colorado to a new owner. This is week 35, which this year falls on August 28-Sep 4th. Usage is Saturday to Saturday. We have had this unit for over five years and it has been a great unit for us - primarily as a trader in II. This is a spacious one bedroom, two bathroom condo with a kitchen, dining room/living room with fireplace, bedroom and two bathrooms. The unit can be locked off to make a studio and a hotel room. It sleeps up to four as there is a king bed in the bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room.
Sandstone Creek Club is located at 1020 Vail View Drive, Vail CO 81657. The Club It consists of three four story buildings situated next to a bubbling creek. Sandstone Creek Club is a family friendly resort with a game room, heated pool, exercise room, sauna, as well as complimentary computer use in the lobby. There’s also free movies available for guests. We found that as a timeshare it is very well managed. It has long been free of developer control or development problems. The rooms are continuously being improved and upgraded. And there is a nice advantage to owning a fixed week. Every week you know exactly when to plan your Vail trip.
Everybody loves Vail in the winter, but it’s a great place to vacation in the summer as well. There are many fun outdoor activities to enjoy in Vail including: hiking, horseback riding, river rafting, bicycling, golf, rock climbing, hot air ballooning, Jeep tours, horseback riding and swimming. The club employs a concierge and activities director to help make your vacation memorable. Plus there’s a very relaxed atmosphere in the summer while you are free to browse the shops and great little restaurants. Most of all we enjoy the cool mountain air when we want to get away from the sweltering summer heat.
We have also found that this resort is a great trader in the timeshare exchange network. This resort belongs to both RCI and the II (interval International) exchange groups as well as being able to be traded in SFX. And this week falls in late summer or over Labor Day each year and trades well! This is a resort that is constantly improving and upgrading and enjoys the highest ratings, a Five Star Premier status from Interval International so one can often trade for Marriotts or Westins with this unit or back into the Rocky Mountains earlier in the summer. Bonus time at reduced rental rates is also available.
This unit is owned free and clear and there is no mortgage! And, we will do the transfer at no cost. The maintenance fees are paid in quarterly installments and are due in July, October, January and April. The current quarterly fee is $168.11 (quarterly) which also includes property taxes. The first quarterly fee due for the new owner will be September 2010. (E.g. - one year before September 2011 usage.)
The first use of your own week at this timeshare is in August 2011 which you will be able to deposit in the trading networks upon timeshare closing. Week 35 in the year 2011 is 8/27-9/3/2011. (If you wish to deposit your week in II you can do that one year ahead by pre-paying the maintenance fees or you can deposit two years in advance in RCI.)
