Vacation Rentals Ratings?

It seems like a lot of people on the TA site are getting messed up from the Vacational Rental sites ( like VRBO ). ( Not the sites, but the people they are renting from.

Is there a rental site that has reviews of the places they have listed. It appears some have asked TA, but I think there might be to many places for even TA to list.

Is there a Rental site that has unbiased reviews, that the landlord can not ask to be removed? Or at least one that has reviews from both sides (owner rebuttals?)

I was recommending VRBO....but it seems a lot of people have problems with the people posting rentals on it.
 
VRBO

I used VRBO this Spring and was very happy with my rental and started looking again for a week I needed in August. Then I had second thoughts. If you use a real estate agency at least you have someone to seek help from if needed. Also where I was looking the VRBO rentals weren't any cheaper and sometimes more expense than using an agency.

I think some of the people renting on VRBO are realtors

I asked www.realtor.com about having a vacation rental section on their site....they never answered.

Is there a site that has vacation rentals just by realtors? Hmmm maybe John will see this...ot we could ask Seth, or Judi .....

I think that site run by licensed real estate people would kill the other sites.

(Just as long as they don't have too much T/S developer sales propaganda ingrained in their brain)
 
Rental web sites

We are new at the rental business; however, we rented out our HHI condo the whole summer through VRBO (as owners). Incidently, the "professional rental company" while great to work with, only rented 2 weeks for us. We've had good luck so far. I'm sure VRBO is like most business -- there are good folks and bad, both as renters and as owners. Most of the folks have said they may come back again next year. So, if you find a place you like and owners you can get along with, stick with it!
