Over the past few days I have had a very positive experience that I wanted to share. We are Vistana only owners, in our case Westin Flex and Sheraton Flex. We have a 2026 MVC reservation in mind that is going to require more Abound Points than we would have available. I have heard about paying to have points transferred from another owner via Vacation Point Exchange https://vacationpointexchange.com/ on the MVC forum, but was not finding much discussion about a Vistana only owner doing this. I had already converted both of our 2026 Use Year VOI's to Abound Points (Club Points).

At VPE I found a listing I was interested in; the seller was both Verified and indicated they were a fellow Tugger. I submitted an inquiry via VPE's form on the listing page and we began to communicate via email. At that point I was able to identify this person on TUG and verify they were active and had posted relevant content. We decided to do a test transfer first of a few points, and I paid via PayPal. On the MVC transfer form, the seller entered my first and last name, the owner ID which is the 3701__ number that appears in the URL when you click on a Club Point link on the Vistana Dashboard, and finally the Contract which we used the Contract ID that shows up in the list of upcoming MVC reservations (we have a couple in place for 2025 already that I can see). In our case this was WFX*01*XXXXXX*01, where the XXXXXX is our Westin Flex contract number. Maybe the 6-digit Westin Flex contract number would have sufficed; don't know for sure?

Anyway, the test transfer went through smoothly and the points appeared in less than a day. We then proceeded with the remaining amount of points I needed and again, all went smoothly, this time taking 1 1/2 days for the points to appear on my Club Points page at MVC. The Point Type is "MVCD Elected Transferred Points" in the Points Available list.

Maybe this is old news, but I just wanted to post this as a successful transaction and overall quite easy process. Going in I was very nervous about how this would all work out.

Happy to hear it all worked out. There have only been a couple reported cases so it is good to know it is possible.

Glad it worked out for you! The feedback mixed about Vacation Point Exchange surprised me yet your process shows people the method can be simple. Understanding why users can make exchanges successfully and without excessive effort is reassuring. For now I am still searching for information about transferring points to someone else since I have no strong details yet but this could become important in future plans.
