I did with my first card, this is the second one I applied. Just missed the timing...You didn't use it for your MFs? You should be able to spend at the property and charge to your room then pay with the Aspire at check out.
That sounds good, just be sure the Waldorf is considered a resort by Amex. If that location in on the list, you should be good.Just realized, there is a tea lounge at Waldorf Astoria across the street. Perfect place to use the credit
stayed there before, it is on the listThat sounds good, just be sure the Waldorf is considered a resort by Amex. If that location in on the list, you should be good.
The list is iffy....some on the list haven't counted for some folks until they worked through Amex to fix it and others not on the list do, after a few of us talked to Amex, such as Craig Lodges. The list is really just the Hilton properties with the Resort filter turned on which isn't perfect. That sounds good, just be sure the Waldorf is considered a resort by Amex. Yes, I agree the l Iist is not perfect. But I think if a property is on the list, then you should get the credit, even if you have to appeal to Amex. After all the Amex website points to that for eligibility. The fact that other properties work is great, but would be harder to to complain about if they suddenly stop working. The list is iffy....some on the list haven't counted for some folks until they worked through Amex to fix it and others not on the list do, after a few of us talked to Amex, such as Craig Lodges. I had to call them to correct this for my end of 2023 spend. My 2024 Lagoon MF spend didn't trigger the credit either...though I haven't actually called about it yet because charges on my HHV stay should get me the credit.I paid my Lagoon maintenance fee with it and didn’t trigger the credit.
contact them via the chat. Craig Lodges didn't either but I sent them the HGVC page showing it as a HGVC resort (not the Hilton page since it isn't on there) and I showed them how it has worked before but something changed in the system. Prepare as much as you can to show them that it should count.. If you look on the https://www.hilton.com/en/resorts/ page, that Amex references, it isn't there, but you can argue that it should be since all the other HGVC are.I paid my Lagoon maintenance fee with it and didn’t trigger the credit.
For the bar, I have and it can.Starbucks in the Elara lobby can be billed to the room. *Maybe* can buy gift cards too?
There is a bar in the lobby but I have never bought so unsure if can bill to the room.
I chatted again and was denied again.contact them via the chat. WOW. I went thru this to be prepared but then had no trouble with Kalia. Do this: look up the official street ADDRESS, maybe phone # too, of each individual tower. Then find that (those) address(es) by clicking thru the listings on that page. As I remember it, one listing on that pg has the address for Lagoon, another listing has the address for Kalia, etc etc. Good luck.look on the https://www.hilton.com/en/resorts/ page, that Amex references, it isn't there, but you can argue that it should be since all the other HGVC are.
Was it approved in the past? Part of my Craig Lodges argument was that it was covered before and I gave them the credit dates. Did you send them the link to the HGV page that shows it is a resort? https://www.hiltongrandvacations.com/en/resorts-and-destinationsI chatted again and was denied again.
I think the issue is the link pg doesn't use the word Lagoon. Somebody named it something else in the DB a long time ago. The ADDRESSES need to be matched and shown to them.Did you send them the link to the HGV page that shows it is a resort?
Craig Lodges isn't even on that Hilton resorts page but, after a few chats, they fixed it. Still not on the page but when I paid MFs after January 1st, it worked like it is supposed to.I think the issue is the link pg doesn't use the word Lagoon. Could be. Blvd has HGVC Blvd HOA and it works. Craig doesn't even say HGV.It shows on my statement as HVVS OA so perhaps because it’s coding as a HOA and not a hotel charge is the problem.
maybe, but I was focused on a logical way to convince a human being that you should get the credit, not on really diagnosing the cause, whether it be "IT" or sunspots. Diagnosing why large corps screw up so often is 1-arm-paper-hanger responsibility. I'll add that I know that at least one and I think both of my deeds also codes as a "HOA" payment, but I got the credit with no issue.shows on my statement as HVVS OA
When I chatted with Amex, I didn't tell them it was for MFs. I just told them it was spending at the property.maybe, but I was focused on a logical way to convince a human being that you should get the credit, not on really diagnosing the cause, whether it be "IT" or sunspots.
