I own Sheraton Flex and whenever I've done an exchange in II, it always has pulled from current year usage Staroptions. Is it possible to use banked Staroptions for an II exchange and if so, what is the process to get it to pull from there? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I don't think you can use banked options for II.
Agree.

I have home options and I can choose to deposit them into II but once I decide to bank them they become StarOptions and can only be used for Vistana reservations 8 months out.

Example. I used 125,000 home options out of 148,100 in 2021. I can either bank them for future use as starOptions or deposit them in II. If I deposit them in II I have until 12/31/23 to use them. They can be used in II combined with 2022 and 2023 HomeOptions.

Thanks for the example! How did you deposit them?

You call Vistana. BUT and this is a BIG but, you need to keep track of what you deposit and when they expire. You will get an email confirmation but when you do searches online you won’t be able to “see” what you have in deposit.
So in my example of depositing left over HO 23,100 if I did an exchange for 44,000 points in 2023 II, they would take the deposited points first and then the current years points from my Vistana account.

Thanks for the lowdown!

GrayFal, I’m still confused about this. If I have 37,000 deposited now and I need another 30,000 from 2022 staroptions, should I call Vistana first to deposit those staroptions? I know I need to pay 2022 MF to do this. Just asking if I should call vistana first before requesting the exchange in interval.

I find myself in a similar situation.... did you figure out if this was possible?
To summarize my scenario, can I deposit my 2022 points (44000) + my 2023 points (44000) to make a reservation within Interval International for a trip in August 2022?

As best as I could determine, yes you can do that. You can borrow from the next year with Vistana by prepaying MF, and then you can take those staroptions and deposit with interval.

I did this, my only difference was that I was doing an interval exchange for the following year. But once you deposit into interval you can do an exchange anytime within the next 2 years.
