I just got an AC in my II acct. today..... only good for Orlando and only in April and May. :(

I received one today too and was going to post asking if anyone had ever seen one like it. Also April and May only but more locations. Is II trying out a new strategy for unloading excess last-minute inventory?

I got one as well and wondering the same thing ? The locations on the grid are more than my other AC that I get annually (this one is good for one year though). Like others have said, the window is too short to use it. I already have a vacation planned in May. They should really consider extending the window to at least 6 months. That's something I could definitely work with.

I got one, also. It will go unused like all of my previous ACs.

I got one of those in my Hyatt corporate II account. Worthless.

In my Starwood/Marriott II account, I got one with slightly more destinations BUT still has to be used by the end of May. Worthless!

I don't want to sound ungrateful, but thanks for nothing (literally).

II targets a very large audience with these offers, they know not everyone will be able to use them. Perhaps less than 5% of the people actually book one. Probably closer to 1%. If that number were up to 50%, they would be giving away good inventory, then people would be complaining that there is no exchange availability. For some these are worthless, for others they work out to be a great deal.

Why the complaints?

I don't understand why folks are complaining here. If many folks get this offer, a few will accept, and the previously unsold units will get filled. What's wrong with that?

It's kind of like receiving an offer for a big sales discount at your local store but then finding out they have no inventory to purchase. Every location that I selected on the gird came up empty. They should only list those locations on the grid that have inventory available.

agree with Zinger. I get pretty excited about getting an AC. I'm going to Lakeshore Reserve on a previous unexpected AC. So it's a little disappointing when you get the offer and find it's an AC with limited deadline and/or locations.

If you can travel on short notice they are great. Got a 1BR at Marriott Harbor Lake for next week.

This is it exactly. Why list it in the grid if it's not available? It's a waste of time. I realize that it's a bonus and that the odds of being able to use it are limited, but trying all kinds of possible locations just to discover that they aren't even available is annoying.

At any rate I discovered that the locations that aren't eligible are listed in the terms and conditions. That will save you some time if you check that first.
