We just get down to Playa Andaluza for our usual occupancy stay. Arrive in Madrid after an overnight flight to discover gridlock as clouds cover the south of Europe and entangle the airlines in flight delays. Takes a while to sort out when our Malaga flight will depart, but we finally get there. The good news is that Malaga airport opens their new terminal and visitors will have a new spacious terminal and baggage area to pass through.

The big news thus far is that they have rain in July down in Malaga and environs. We've never seen rain in 6 years here. The locals themselves are a bit surprised as they too can't readily recall the last time they have rain in July. Temperatures of course are just fine. Hopefully the rain in Spain falls somewhere else.

Interesting...we just got back from Andaluza a couple of weeks ago. The weather was great: mid to upper 80's (usual high was 29 or 30 Celsius). It rained part of one day during the week. The rest of the week was sunny.

Hope the weather improves for you. Have a great vacation!

That Saturday rain was an aberration -- though the local forcast held there'd be a couple of hours of clouds and rain followed by slow clearing. The showers persisted all day and the night brings clearing sky.

Yesterday and today have been stellar Costa del Sol days. Temps in hi 80s but with a slight but useful breeze which cools you off so long as you stay in the shade of your umbrella. Forcast for the week is clear with highs in the 90s so the rain in Spain ( or Costa del Sol ) is history.

Playa looks great and folks are having a good time here. 8:45 pm local time here and the sun stil shines brightly. We have a room near the front of Almiera Bldg and sleep with the doors open so as to hear the waves breaking on the Med.
