We just got back from a miserable stay at the Wyndham in Rio Grande. We stayed on the hotel side and could hear our neighbors so clearly that it was as there wasn't a locked door between the rooms. We could also hear people in the hallway as if there was no door.

My daughter loves the pool and wanted to stay on the timeshare/Margaritaville side, but I don't want to repeat the experience ever, much less than for a week.

Does anyone have experience with the units? If so, what advice do you have about quiet and best 1 bedrooms?

We have stayed only on the timeshare side several times over the years and never had noise issues of any kind really. IIRC most of the hotel units are what the timeshare side would term studio units - though there are some suites that are larger. What unit type did you stay in? Rainforest or ocean side? Studio or larger?

We've always stayed in either a one bedroom deluxe, one bedroom Presidential/PR, or the three bedroom Presidential/PR units while there. The three bedroom units are all located at the end of the building facing the ocean - so they are pretty quiet by design really since 3/4 of the suite doesn't share any walls with any other room. I honestly cannot recall ever hearing anything from around us in other rooms while there.

We've also stayed in a one bedroom and we had no noise issues. Our room was at the end of the hall away from the elevators and on the sixth floor. We had a wonderful time. The biggest problem we had was our bracelets kept getting demagnetized.
