My DH is traveling to Seoul on a last minute business trip at the end of the month :( . This is his first international trip in probably 15 years . Is there any way to get a pass to UA's Red Carpet Club at SFO or ICN (is there a UA RCC there?) for less than paying $50 for one-time usage? I thought this would make the trip a bit less stressful for him.

I haven't flown internationally in 10 years. I'm sure things have changed a lot! Thanks for any leads or tips!

If he is a primer executive or 1K, he gets to use the RCC for free.

Since he doesn't fly all that much for business, he doesn't have status with UA. So I was just looking for any passes or ideas or something less than $50 :) . I think he'll be fine to wait in the general boarding area, but if there was a way to visit the RCC, it would be a nice way to start his trip.

Also, there is no RCC in ICN but RCC members can use Asiana Lounge. If he flies business class or above, he also has free use of RCC and Asiana Lounge.

His company won't fly business class, so it's economy class all the way. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

Now come to think of it, I should have known since I believe your hubby works for the same company as mine:)
Once he had to go somewhere last minute and the only available seats were business class, and he lucked out...

That is lucky.

My DH is booking late enough to get the worst seat on the plane (seat guru says "poor"), but not late enough to get business class. Oh well.

If there was a club in ICN, I would suggest a 60-day membership to Northwest for $80. But I don't know if there is one. So it might not be worth the money.

I recently bought one for myself and I will tell you that its worth the money. My trip to Germany was a lot more pleasant. And if you are planning personal travel in the next two months, then the family can take advantage as well.

I believe there are sometimes passes sold on eBay, but it may be too late for him.

Also, I read an article a while ago about buying a day pass. I can't find the article, but as I recall, Delta let you buy a pass for $25 and you didn't even need a ticket on Delta. Have him check it out.

Thanks. I've checked ebay and craigslist, so far nothing for sale. I'll look into other lounges. RCC charges $50 for one-time usage.
