Unique unit features.

One of the Lake Placid timeshares had an in room sauna.

The only thing that comes to mind is the shower at Marriott’s Sabal Palms in Orlando, the shower is very large with body sprayers.

When we stayed at Powhatten Plantation years ago they had a steam shower in the unit. Years later we installed one in our home because we liked it so much.

Loved that large walk in bath shower in the 3 bedrooms villas; at SurfWatch..There is

a shower nozzle that will spray warm Water on every part of the human body and it feels so good.

Plus, it cleans & sprays that warm water on every part of your body from your head to your little toes.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

One of the units we've had at Smuggs had one. My mother was afraid to use it...she used the smaller bathroom the whole time they were there. Not me! ;)

Not in a timeshare, but we were just in a hotel that had a rainfall showerhead. I HATED it so much. It's such an HGTV thing, and now I know it's awful.

Really? I never heard of one being in a Smuggs unit. What building was that in?

Out of curiosity, why did you hate a rainfall showered?
I have yet to experience one myself, but you are the first person who I've encountered who said they did not like one....might it be that it is hard to get soap off from some places??

Bingo, unless you can perform a hand stand in the shower.

The one feature I like is a bench or footrest for washing feet and lower legs.

Me too. I don't want my head getting drenched for the entire shower. Especially if it's not a "hairwashing day" (I am an every-other-day girl because my hair is thick and takes almost 20 min to dry with a blow dryer, or hours if I let it air dry). It's just a terrible idea.

Yes! All the problems people here are mentioning, plus there's very little water pressure. The water just falls down on you. I felt only marginally cleaner after the shower than I did before the shower.

They look so pretty, but I've noticed that most places now do a rainfall shower PLUS a regular wall-mounted shower or hand-held shower. (Our hotel had only the rainfall showerhead.) I suspect that after one or two showers with the rainfall showers, people realize that it doesn't work very well and go back to the regular kinds of showers.

I truly don't remember, as it's been awhile ago. It was one of the newer "upscale" places, though...maybe up in the units named after the birds?
