Unexplained Room Codes on HGVC site - HGVC Boulevard LV for example

One of the things I dislike about the HGVC website is that they distinguish between differnt types of studio, one bedroom, etc, using room codes, but don't say what the codes mean! The online room descriptions are typically identical.
For example, at the Boulevard property in LB, there are
1 bedroom EP and LP
1 bedroom plus 1BP and 1LP
What are the differences?

My guess - just a guess - is that the "L" represents lockoff, while B is standard bedroom, but then what of "E"??

large plus and extra plus🤣

Here is the info you need:

I was told by a desk clerk that the code doesn't matter much.
"At check-in, we can put you anywhere with the same size."

I would take issue with that. If you are paying xx points for a specific type room, likely with a specific type view, and you end up in a room comparable to what somebody else is getting for far fewer points, you should be owed the difference. And it’s not just the points - your deed, initial investment, and maintenance fees are tied to a specific room/view type. Even more so if using your home week.

That statement really annoys me.

I think you are reading that wrong. During club reservations, they can put you in a different type of room, lockoff or non lockoff as long as the point value is the same. Many of the designations are just for their purposes.

I think that's what they meant... "as long as the point values are the same."

Gotcha! I must’ve been grumpy at the moment. 😀
