A just returned from a stay at Marriott Manor Club. I had received a preview offer in the mail for 20K MR points to do a preview. We arrived for the preview and were greeted very nicely. The salesperson asked if we were looking for another week. I honestly explained to him that I'm not looking for another week but since it was raining we decided to keep the appointment because of the Marriott Rewards points.
He thanked me for being honest and asked if we had any questions about ownership or if he could help in any way. I said "no we're fine" and he said "your done, you got your points, if you have any questions about anything call me anytime". And that was it.
The second preview was just as good.
A few months ago I purchased a resale at Kings Creek Plantation. I had never actually been there but it is right next to Water Country so we stopped in one day to ask for a quick tour. The sales staff was fantastic. Once I told them we were owners they immediately had a rep take us on a tour of the unit we own and at our request the other types of units, the pool areas and the grounds. We sat and talked for a few minutes afterward with no sales pitch at all. Among the nicest sales staff I have ever encountered. And with that a supervisor tells the reception desk staff to give us the gift for attending a preview even though we were resale owners. So we walked out with a $100 check. And I was very impressed by the resort and units.
I normally hate timeshare tours but these were a pleasure, however short they were.
