TUG users who know DAE's trading partners and their resorts...

I asked DAE this Q 3 months ago (for a list of trading partners and their resorts) and so far have gotten no reply.

I bumped my question today, but now I'm asking TUG folks who know (you know who you are!) to please share this information here.

This can only help those of us who've had a hard time finding what we want at DAE.

I have been watching and traded for China via DAE, so here is my two cents. Their partner in China is Tian Lun Vacation. Below is their web site and resort destinations.

Their English list contains two pages of 6 resorts while the Chinese list contains nineteen pages of many resorts.

Lately, I have seen some higher end condo/hotels in Beijing and Dalian - well worth the MF and exchange fees.

In Europe, Club La Costa is a trading partner, and Hapimag is, to an extent. Hapimag apparently only gives them certain resorts, chosen by Hapimag, like Hapimag's relationship with DRI. They used Club La Costa to get me a summer week at Baie des Anges on the French Riviera and a UK canalboat in summer. They can get Seasons resorts on request, but I am not certain whether this is a result of being a trading partner, or DAE getting member deposits of Seasons points and then using them to pull the inventory needed for members.

I really appreciate your generous knowledge of DAE. We have seven deposits with them, most need to be booked before expiration about October 2011.

I have 18 deposits in RCI weeks, 2 in II, 1 in PI & over 250K RCI points. Winter vacations are at least 6 months.

We are fully booked through April 2011. Do you think our best best for using the DAE is for Australia /China. We hope to take a round Australia cruise then spend several months between Sydney & Cairns on the East Coast then maybe up to China but only when the weather is good for the destinations.

Alternatively Scotland for the Edinburgh Tatoo during a future August perhaps for about an 8 week trip.

Perhaps I should focus on resorts they are partnered with. We generally like to stay 3 weeks or more at the same resorts.

Australia / New Zealand are great places to trade into with DAE. That's where the company started and they gets lots of inventory there. In Scotland, you might look at the Loch Rannoch Highland Club. The HOA there got into a dispute with the developer a few years ago and they ended up outside RCI over that. Since then they have traded through SFX and DAE.

Thanks Carolinian - this is good information, because there's actually a Hapimag location which could be on my wish list - but I've never seen this on DAE's availability list.

I wonder whether there's a list of Hapimag resorts they can (and can't) get, or does this vary at Hapimag's whim?

The ones I have seen most are in Greece, Turkey, and the French alps.

I would love to get the one that is in a French chateau and there are also a couple in Tuscany that I would really like.

Like they do with DRI, Hapimag seems to decide which resorts they give DAE, and it seems to be a different list between DAE and DRI. There was a discussion on a European board about the Hapimag resorts open to DRI members and the three I am most interested in were not on their list either, although the Prague resort was. I have not seen the Prague resort availible thorugh DAE.

I'd like to go to the Hapimag in Interlaken Switzerland, since my favorite (ex-)RCI resort is gone from RCI now - the one in Muerren, Switzerland.

I'd seen this Hapimag mentioned somewhere, which led me to check out the Hapimag website (where I also noted the Prague location - which I'd also take in a Cincinnati second).
