I read this for the first time yesterday and thought it was an excellent observation of the human mind. And, a good thought to keep in mind, especially during the holiday season.

A few days ago I drove from Albany, NY to Williamsburg, VA. I-87, I-78, I-81, I-95, and I-64. I wish I could have run some of those beautiful "trees" off the road. Real trees don't tailgate. They don't cut you off at 70 mph. They don't run up on your right.

But today is Christmas and your thoughts are well taken. I am with family and everything is great. But, I have to drive back to Albany sometime.

I saw the obituary for Ram Dass a day or so ago, and figured that had prompted this post. Good sentiment for any time of the year.

I understand. I’ve been know to raise my voice a few times (hundreds?) while driving. It’s a goal to be more understanding, not a constant state.

Unfortunately, I had never heard of Ram Dass until I saw this. Someone I follow on twitter posted the pic and I thought it was spot on. I read a little about Ram and he was certainly an interesting person who lived an amazing life.
