Does anyone have recent dealings with Tree Tops Real Estate, INC regarding purchasing foreclosures at Tree Tops Resort as a way to get out of previous timeshare maintenance fees? Please let me know if this is a reputable Real Estate company, what we have found is only bad news when "googled"

Don't use them as a way to get out of another timeshare. They only way they can do it is if you can do it yourself. Why pay them thousands and get another timeshare? Tree Tops resort is nice and most units are available to purchase for far less on the reasle market. I am an owner at a sister resort called Oakmont.

We are owners at Oakmont Resort which is the sister resort in Pigeon Forge. We sat through their presentation last year and read through their paperwork. Basically you must pay a fee plus purchase a deed at Oakmont at an inflated price. They don't actually take ownership of your unwanted resort. They are an LLC and will attempt to sell your unwanted resort. If they can't you get it back (in the fine print)! Plus you are now proud owners of yet another week at Oakmont. The staff and board at both resorts are great and I don''t know why they allow this sales group on the property.

We've been Tree Tops owners for decades, but I never heard of the group mentioned. I've purchased Tree Tops and Oakmont foreclosures for good prices, but it has been years so I don't know whether they still do those on the "courthouse steps" (actually inside in a conference room). I know there were a lot of sale units listed by owners on the Tree Tops/Oakmont website last time I looked. For some reason, a lot of owners sold after the Gatlinburg wildfires, but I'm not sure why. We wound up with a practically new resort with no loss of use and no special assessments. We came out better than I ever imagined.

I don’t think they sell on the courthouse steps anymore. I’ve owned there since 1987. We love Oakmont and Tree Tops. Last year they handled the paperwork to get me out of my Wyndham deed. We are extremely happy with our little resort people.!!

They got us out of Wyndham. It took a little while but we have no complaints

Wyndham has been taking deedbacks from owners for several years. It does take a little while to complete.

We like both Oakmont and Tree Tops, but they can be found on the resale market at bargin prices and most floating weeks can be found for free. Owners can list units for resale on the resort's web pages, but they enforce a minimum listing price. Finding a realistic resale price is possible but it does require a little work. Both resorts have cheap maintenance fees for the location.
