Trading into Westin St John via II?

I tried searching the forum to research the possibility of trading into WSJ (I have a Marriott week) and couldn't find anything. Is this because it's very unlikely? I want to trade into a very high TDI week. Any insight would be appreciated. If it's unlikely I would get a trade, I may consider a different location or a less demand week for WSJ. I just don't want to sit on a OGS for it to never find anything. Thanks in advance!

I am going to say this is tough and even tougher since you don't own a (strong) Vistana timeshare. Vistana timeshare has its own preference window before they are open to Marriott timeshare in II. The short answer is you are very unlikely to get the trade. It has been years since I saw a WSJ deposited into II.

I second @VacationForever and their analysis. The only time I've seen it was during COVID, I've not seen or heard of it being available since then.

Its such a unicorn that I use it, along with DVC Hawaii, as placeholders on II exchange requests, when I want to submit a requirement that doesn't meet the 3 week/location combination for an online OGS. Should I ever be unlucky enough for it to match, I'll find a way to get there

Don't use it in a OGS if you actually want to go there, find another way. I have heard of it available via Abound, but not paid attention to what and when.

Frenchman's Cove is far easier to exchnage into. Of course, it depends on the time of year.

Honey...I have good news and bad news. The good news is that we're going to the WSJ. The bad news is...well I'm sure I'll think of something...;-)

We were lucky enough to book the WSJ in January of 2024 using Abound Points. After my family experienced the resort and more to the point St John, I'm now the owner of two EOY weeks.

Same for us. We now own 3 -3 BDRM pool villas that are the most enjoyable timeshare units we've ever experienced with your own private pool. Add the fact that St John is truly amazing and beautiful and its a perfect combo. We'll be there in 10 days for 2 weeks.
