Trade from Gold week Newport Coast Villas to a Marriott Vacation Club property in Hawaii

I own a Gold NCV and would like to do a request first trade into one of the MVCs in Hawaii. I know this can be a difficult trade. Does it make a difference which Gold week I choose for the purposes of trading value?

For example would a week at NCV in early February have less trading value than a Presidents' Day week when NCV seems to be in higher demand because it is a school week off for some school districts and that week may be more desirable to people with school age children looking to trade into NCV.

I'm not sure whether II values more desired weeks (within the Gold season) from the resort being traded from in its trading process. II agents don't seem knowledgable about how the internal trading process works at II.

Thanks!

For 2025, president's day fell on week 7 and if you look at the TDI for NCV, that week was higher than the week before of after. So theoretically, week 7 will have a better trading power.

Yes- the week you book does affect your trade power. A higher TDI week will have higher trade power than a lower TDI week. Looks like President's Week or Easter are the best Gold season weeks to book.

That said Newport Coast should have pretty good trade power anyway since its a full 2-bedroom deposit- but I would still target a high TDI week if possible.

It all depends on WHEN you want to go to Hawaii and which resort. Hawaii can be an easy trade with just about any Marriott deposit.

We routinely book our gold Shadow Ridge into MOC, Waiohai and Ko Olina in non summer weeks, always upsizing to 2BR. Summer is a very hard get though.
