RCI Points at various locations and a dual affiliate which I trade with Interval
Unsure why I agreed to go to a sales presentation but, I did. I am at a Hilton Vaction Property. They were pitching DEX and various collections. I am very knowledgable about timeshares and they dont do a great job of really explaining the program. I honestly went because maybe I might consider a resale program from Hilton but, I am not even sure what I would look for as their explanation really did not get into details details of pitch:
10,000 points
$81,000 dollars
Maintenance fees $200 per month

Claimed could get 5 weeks a year but, every time we looked at sint maarten it seemed like the weeks I would want are 5500 points

We did not get to negotation on price as I told them I was a used buyer. They were asking if I would consider $15,000 for 41l000 points. I assumed they would offer me that on a bi-annual versus annual.

I would like to have access to Royal Palm Beach in Sint Maarten and Flamingo. Is there a resale product other than buying old legacy weeks from those properties?

Your pitch was for HVC so I will move your post to that forum.

I would never suggest going to a TS salesperson expecting them to explain the program. They only want to sell you something. If you want to find out about TS, I would suggest that you ask on TUG.

Do they really even pitch for HGVC anymore? Perhaps at properties that are still in active sales like Maui Bay Villas. If you own existing HGVC perhaps they try to pitch deeded weeks but it seems that people who don't already own (me) are always pitched Collection points.

We went to a presentation in Virginia Beach at Ocean Beach Club and the pitch was Collection points. They asked what I knew about Hilton Grand Vacations and I explained deeded weeks, which resulted in the salesperson constantly shaking her head no. Then I moved on to trust/collection points which she agreed with. It was like she didn't even know what a deeded HGVC week was.

10,000 is about 2 weeks in a 1 bedroom pretty much anywhere. It's ridiculous even at half the quoted amount.

$200 per month in MF = $2400 per year and if 10,000 pts = 2 weeks in a 1 bdrm then 2 weeks per year in a 1 bdrm cost $2400.
How much does it cost to rent a 1 bdrm for 2 weeks where you want to go ?
Even if it costs $5000 to rent, the $5000-$2400=$2600 saving per year is too low compared to the upfront prepaid of $81000 to get this saving and all the money loss on the return of the $81000 invested on the stock market or all the interest paid if the $81000 is financed.

I think $4 per point is probably the lowest they’ll go. That’s what I was quoted in Orlando back in January. Still, I’d never pay that.
