To rent, or return reservation and use credits next year- HGVC Borgo

Hello All,
I am wanting to get the general pulse of what a knowledgable HGVC owner at Borgo Alle Vigne would do.
We have a reservation in Tuscany HGVC, [details deleted] this [fall], and recently changed plans so we cannot go
to Italy this year. Is it better to rent this week out to cover Maint fees, or cancel the reservation, get the 11,200
credits back from Hilton, pay the $100 and use these credits in 2026? I know this is a pretty open question to throw
out there, but interested in what other HGVC owners would lean towards. Thanks

Is this a Home Week reservation? Because only HW reservations can legally be rented. I would personally lean towards canceling the reservation and saving the points. You could try to rent for a few months before canceling the reservation.

Yes, this is a HW reservation, we own there, bought resale 2 years ago
