RCI and Interval used to provide a White/Blue/Red week rating based on demand for each resort and week reserved.
That rating seems to have disappeared. How does one determine what color a week is in an individual resort nowadays?

For exchanges, I need to deposit only red weeks, but other than the Hawaiian resorts, I have no real way of determining red weeks.

II doesn't use Red/White/Blue rating. They use a Travel Demand Index (TDI). Each week is assigned a number between 50-150. The higher the number the more in demand the week. Look up your home resort in their online directory and the TDI chart will be on the right-hand side. It will look like this:

RCI has a deposit calculator that you can use to determine the number of TPU that gets assigned to a week when deposited.

Where do you own?
We own HGV Max but to deposit via Club Combination or Vacation Connection we can only deposit red weeks from RCI. We have RCI thru Club Wyndham, Worldmark and Holiday Inn Vacation Club all of which will no longer accept deposits into HGV.

I think you are merging two different things. The red/white etc weeks indicate season, not demand, though red season will likely be a higher demand time. The requirement for a red week deposit was probably to try to get high demand weeks. Neither exchange weeks provides the season info anymore so you have to make your best guess. I kept the old catalog for awhile, but it's been so long now, I don't think it is very useful.
The TDI chart in II is the demand indicator, but may not all be red weeks. If you are wanting a red week in RCI, use the tpu calculator and make your best guess at which ones are likely red weeks. The higher the number in either system, the better the chance that it is a red week.

Last week of June, all of July, and first week of Aug will be Red , with the exception of Desert resorts or Ski resorts.
