If you think your timeshare has some value then you may consider paying a broker.

It may be a good candidate for a dead back, or as a giveaway on TUG if you aren't hoping to get anything back.

As far as Paradise is concerned, I have used them as a buyer, this was my experience:

Marriott took over 100 days for the transfer, and for this resort, dues are paid quarterly. The seller didn't pay the quarterly dues and the account racked up some late fees. It was for the last quarter of the seller's usage. I actually used a closing company with title insurance and they were no help in recouping the dues (I still don't know why they disbursed funds before the week transferred).

I tried a few different avenues to get the dues recouped, and escalated it to Carl at Paradise. He actually reimbursed me the dues out of the commissions that Paradise received, which he did not have to do and it made me whole. So I would absolutely recommend them for both buying and selling.
