Galveston is located about an hour away from Houston's Hobby International airport. I took a shuttle from the airport roundtrip for about $60. The hotel is just across the street from the beach ( a short walk from the road).

This review is an example of what a timeshare lite (like a timeshare but really a hotel). I had a one bedroom unit with all the features of a timeshare (pool, barbecue, full kitchen less stove, fitness center, etc..) But the cost was 88K Hilton Honors points for a five night stay which is less than two timeshares sales presentations :).

I enjoyed my time relaxing in Galveston. I spent a lot of time walking along the ocean and the seawall (It is supposed to be the longest seawall in the US). I hope you enjoy the video review and consider doing a "timeshare lite" someday. The link to the Hilton Timeshare lite is here with the review of the room below.

22K HH per night and 5th night free?

But where is the review? The linked video has a short fragment of looking for Homewood Suites in RCI, but no review.

The review is the link that reads Timeshare Lite - Review of the Homewood Suites by Hilton one bedroom in Galveston Texas

I updated the post to make it easier to follow... Yes... At the end of the video review I show the link from the email for 22K points a night (I booked in 6 months in advance and I am sure it is more points in the summer) and a 5th night free... Less than two timeshare presentations... Way better than taking the $100 or $150 for a timeshare presentation.

Hi @Clifbell ,
We stayed in a 2 bedroom Homewood Suites for the month of March 2020.
[Frozen burst pipe - insurance paid accomadations]

Decor was identical.

Next time I’ll try getting upgraded to a two bedroom. Got a free upgrade from studio
