Has anyone had any experience with them? They promised to rent out my week. Unfortunately, I paid them and have not heard from them since.

I emailed and called them within the 3 day window, but they begged for another chance and if I was still not happy, they would still cancel. Well....that did not happen.

Any suggestions?

Since you paid them in advance then there is no incentive for them to do anything for you.

My guess is that they took the money and ran. I hope for your sake I am wrong but that seems to be the way a lot of these folks are conducting business these days.

If you paid with a credit card then you may have some recourse. Hopefully others can provide you with additional advice.

.

1 How much and when did you pay them ?
2. File a dispute with you credit card company

Unfortunately they have already done what their website or contract documents said they would do for your payment "Virtually Nothing"

3. File a complaint with the real estate regulatory agencies:
  • Where you live
  • Where the property is located
  • Where the scammer reputes to be located

You have been scammed. Not outright criminal as in a non-existent company but they made their profit, so what is their motivation now? Never ever pay anything up front for someone to rent out or sell anything for you. If you insist on them getting paid on the back end, you will find out who is legitimate and who is stealing your money.

There is absolutely nothing you can do about it now. Maybe you will get lucky and your timeshare will rent out but honestly their efforts go into generating those up front fees.

I just checked out their site. The company is a joke. If you read the FAQ they don't actually rent timeshares. All they do is list it on their site and then they let you and the renter work out the arrangements. All they do is forward the renters information to you. Not to rub salt in the wound but did you look at their website and read any reviews first? I hate to sound like a jerk but it boggles my mind that anyone would pay this company.

How will I know if my rental offer is accepted?
We will forward your offer and information to the owner. The owner will contact you directly and you and the owner will agree on a rental rate. We recommend that you sign a rental agreement with the owner. Be sure that you clearly understand the rental agreement. The owner will probably ask you to send an advanced payment to secure the rental.

How long is the rental for?
Typically the stay is 7 days. Usually check-in and check-out is Saturday-Saturday. Check with the owner for the specific rental period and check-in/check-out information as this varies from resort.

How do I confirm my accommodations?
We recommend that you keep in touch with the owner and ask if they informed the resort of the rental. If the owner has already contacted the resort with your information, call the resort directly for additional confirmation.

Do I need to bring bed linens, pillows, etc. with me?
No. Typically, everything is included similar to a hotel. Some resorts even include a daily or weekly maid service. Check with the owner on the services and amenities provided by the resort.

What if I want to buy the place I rented?
You may contact the owner directly or you can contact us immediately and we will forward your offer to the owner.

You could get lucky and someone makes an offer but you could have done this for free on other sites.

I am sorry for being harsh. On the bright side it is not too late to try and rent out your timeshare. Many tug members rent out their own timeshares so you are in good company to learn the best ways to accomplish this.

Be prepared to accept that most timeshares do not rent for the amount of the annual fees. Some rent higher, but most rent lower.
