Timeline for Exchanging with II

How far in advance can I deposit a unit with II...example if I have a EYO that is in 2010, what's the earliest I could use it for exhcange?

Also, general question...If your week starts on a Sun, can you come in a few days late, say Wed and only stay the 4 nights?

How far in advance you can deposit depends on the agreement between your resort and II. For most resorts, you must wait until 12 months before your week before depositing it.

You can check in late and/or leave early - it's your week. However, if you plan to arrive after the normal check-in day, you should call the resort and tell them when you will get there. Write down the name of the person you talk to. That call is good insurance against the resort believing you decided not to travel and giving your unit away to someone else.
