I'm surprised at the relatively low bid price on a 1BR at Timber Lodge right now on eBay -- granted it's a 1BR and it's says it trades as Silver (????), but Tahoe is nice in the summer time and the drive to the lake doesn't appear that bad.

I think this could be a good trader because it's driveable?

Any views on why this is only $1,200?

If this is a summer week ( which it seem to be ) then this is a platinum week. Winter and summer at Tahoe is platinum and spring & fall are gold. Timber Lodge has no silver season. ( they do have some super peak weeks of Platinum plus)
 
If this unit is only $1200, I would grab it! I was surprised to find that some of the highest peak demand times in Lake Tahoe is summer, specifically July 4 and Aug 1, in 2009. I thought it was winter.
 
Did you see the seller's 95% feedback? That's a bit low for my tastes and he has had some issues. That could explain the low price perhaps?
 
I think $1,691 is a really good price for this -- I hope it went to a TUGGER!!!

It did go to a Tugger, namely me! Hopefully, this one is for real. If so, I have my doubts as to whether it will pass ROFR. Other Tuggers have had some problems with this seller but some have consummated deals with them. Bill is right, the floating period for this TS is a summer platinum week. We own a 2BR summer platinum at TL (and in fact are at Timber Lodge right now) and as best I can tell, there are more people at Tahoe this time of the year than anytime. IMHO, it's the best TS at Tahoe.
