Hello,

My husband and I are in the recension period and have considered cancelling our time share.

The main reason we purchased was due to the Travelers Plus program.

We were told that if we purchase a time share aftermarket and used RCI on our own. We can only get one week of vacation a year vs being a travel Plus member we can get unlimited vacation stays. Is this true?

Is RCI and TP two different benefits ?

We purchased the sampler initially at 2995 for 24k points and upgraded to the lowest tier option and then cancelled it. Just to be talked into it again. We were interested just to get the TP. But I still don't think it's worth it. When there are so many points available for a cheap.

Can some give us some advice. We have 7 days left to cancel.

Rescind. Anything a retail buyer gets, a resale buyer gets as well- with the exception of some nebulous 'prestige' stuff that only brands you as a pushover buyer. That said, I don't know what 'Travelers Plus' is. Explain like I'm a first grader.

The 'deal' you got is always going to be available, so rescind and educate yourself so that you can at least be an educated consumer.

Another buyer outlined their 'deal' and it turned out to just be good for 4-5 weeknights a year. I hope yours is more usable.

I think you may mean bonus time (booking 60 day inventory for cash). This is not available systemwide with resale. You only get bonus time at your home resort with resale. As someone who used the system with their sampler, did you see a lot of 60 day inventory that you would use?

RESCIND now while you still can. Get ALL your questions answered and then buy resale.

You only have a few days to rescind otherwise you are lining someone's pocket by paying way too much. Check eBay or Redweek and verify this for yourself.
