Looking at point reservations. The cost is points is the same for a 1 bedroom Ocean View, 1 bedroom Premium Ocean View and 1 Bedroom Island View?
Is Premium better than non-premium?
Any know reason Island View and Ocean View are the same price in points?
The 1 Bedroom Premium Island View at North is also the same price.

Right now I booked 1 Bedroom Premium Ocean View, just making sure that is right choice, and also curious why the pricing is like it is.

The points cost was based similar to how it is priced for StarOptions. Many years ago the number of StarOptions was the same regardless of the view. Even oceanfront had the same number of StarOptions as the other views. Then Starwood increased the number of StarOptions needed for oceanfront but didn't change any of the others. It seems when they brought everything into Abound, they followed the same pattern. Same points for all the views except oceanfront.

IMO, OV is always better than IV. IV and OV have always been the same number of SOs. IIRC, the non-premium 1-bed is the dedicated 1-bed units in South, which are closest to the lobby - they don't connect to a studio.

There is a stack of 1-Bdm. Standard (stand-alone) units, in all 3 WKORV-S buildings, about half-way down the length of the Bldg.

The standard 1-Bdms. are slightly larger than the 1-Bdm. lock-offs, mostly because they don't have a foyer, but layout and amenities are the same.

The nice thing about the IV units in the North Towers, is that the North Towers doesn't have any parking lot views.

So for 1 Bedroom OV is the premium or non-premium better based on unit location for view?

Whether you choose the premium or standard (stand-alone) 1BR OV, try to book as early as you can. I booked a 1BR OV Standard (stand-alone) unit for my nephew one year out, and he said that his unit was almost next to the OF unit, which gave him the best view ever of all the years that he has been to WKORV-S.

I book at < 30 as I book a studio way out then see if I can trade up using the discount I get at < 30.

The word "premium" is misleading. There is nothing premium in "premium" units compared to "standard". Quite the opposite. Premium units are a part of a lockoff, while standard are standalone.

Actually - I believe that the units on the end of the Bldgs. are the one bedroom portion of the Island View Deluxe units.

There is no way to tell the location, because you don't know until check-in exactly where you will be. I consider them interchangeable. As echino says, the "premium" label is misleading.

You're thinking of building 4. For 2 and 3 there are no deluxe units on the lobby side. I remember having one of those units ~8 years ago or so.
