The Scariest Episodes of The Twilight Zone, Ranked

Just one change. I would put, "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet", with William Shatner at the top. Even with all the special effects of today, when he looks out the window and sees that "thing" on the wing, well...

These are all great episodes. I had nightmares about the dummy. Another favorite of mine was 'To Serve Man'. I think Twilight Zone was one of the best written shows of all time. Rod Serling was actually a history teacher at a high school near where we lived prior to his acting career.

It makes me scream almost every time...and I feel so silly afterwards because I know what’s coming.

I liked all these great episodes. My favorites are the ones with the dolls.
The Twilight Zone was ahead of it time on television. IMHO.

I am on several cat groups on Facebook. I comment “My name is Talky Tina, and you’d better be good to me” every time someone posts pictures of their cat napping in the middle of the stairs. That Telly Savalas episode was the creepiest one to me. It was fun as a kid to see the old TZ episodes and recognize “current” TV stars like Kojack, Samantha, The Penguin and Captain Kirk.

Nightmare at 20,000 feet and "To Serve Man" are my favorites
- including the Simpson parodies

I watched this again after reading this post and was surprised at the end of the Nightmare at 20000 feet episode to see a young Dan Aykroyd driving the ambulance

Not the Twilight Zone, but the Outer Limits. This one scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid:
A Feasibility Study
Six square city blocks of a common Earth neighborhood get teleported to the planet Luminos. Those within awaken under churning clouds, unfamiliar humming, a haze about them, thick fog surrounding the outer edges of their streets, and disconnected phones. All too soon they learn of their abduction for a feasibility study to see if humans would make good slaves for an alien race plagued by silvery skin growths that eventually link together and immobilize its adults.
