I was excited to hear that he was going to issue a new CD in Jan. Just came out. I found a free preview of the CD on NPR. I have been a happy woman listening to his music this last half hour and am buying it first thing tomorrow.:cheer:

An acquired taste. Gosh, the dude is 77 years old!

OOPS

CD does not come out until Jan 31. When we go on holidays we have a 2 day drive through the Rocky Mountains (one of the best parts of our trip) We find the LC fits in very nicely for those beautiful long road trips.

I like him much more when Jennifer Warnes is singing his songs.

I absolutely love Leonard Cohen's music, even if his lyrics don't always make a lot of sense.

I love his voice even though he really can't sing.

My husband absolutely hates his music, so I mostly listen to him in my car and on the radio.

Hallelujah is one of my favorite songs.
I love Leonard Cohen's rendition, and I've never heard a version that I don't like. kd Lang's was amazing when she sang it at the Olympics.

I look forward to hearing his latest cd.

IMHO - he hit his creative peak with the second album - Songs from a Room.

He's had moments since then, but for one sustained album of material, I've never heard anything that I enjoy as much.

But not recommended listening when you need a "pick-me-up".

Also one of our favorites from way back when. But it is definitely music for a certain 'mood.' I remember playing his songs over and over at a certain point in my life.
