The Mythical Meaning Behind"Proud Mary" by Tina Turner

The first time I heard this song was when CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL released it sometime in the 60s. Because of the era, some might think it’s about marijuana but coming from a country band, it’s probably about someone’s life.

Ironically, they were from California and the band formed in San Francisco.

Yep - El Cerrito. Right next to that famous country music town, Berkeley.

What - you don't think Berkeley is a country music town? After all, it was the home town for Country Joe and the Fish.
