Gordon Gin is #1 in total case sell. I am surprised.

Remember to drink Gin and Tonic in the Tropics. TheTonic (If true) has Quinine to help fight off malaria.

Outside of a good Irish Whiskey -- I'm a Tanqueray man all the way!

I am a Tanquerray person in the summer months and a bourbon / scotch drinker the other 9 months.

That's pretty much the extent of my hard alcohol palette.

It's the cheapest, and would be considered the "rail" drink at bars so likely the biggest seller if you just order a gin & tonic.

When we travel to the Tropics it is Gin and Tonic. At Home during the summer it is primarily Vodka or Tequila. No mixtures allowed. Some of the Oregon distilled small Batch Gins are quite good. Irish is good year round.

A Bartender friend explained something to me. I was ordering a Double Grey Goose. He explained I should order a Grey Goose Martini Extra Dry. This means they pass the Bottle of Vermouth over the glass. He explained if he served me what I ordered he would have to charge me for a long pour. If I order the extra dry martini I would pay the Martini price (which was less than a long pour) and get the same amount of Grey Goose Vodka.

My wife was strictly Beefeater while I am Tanqueray.

OTOH, mostly a Single Malt Whisky person.

Cheers

Much like local craft breweries making their own beer, there are quite a few distilleries now making their hand crafted gins. I have had a lot of fun trying out the various ones made in Wisconsin. The different gins all have their own distinct tastes. My favorite has been one distilled in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Buy local. Try some of the products made near you.

I wonder if buying and consuming local gin will yield the same allergy prevention benefit as local honey.
