We will be staying at The Cove On Ormond Beach the first week of June. Has anyone stayed in the new building? Any comments or reviews would be appreciated. Thanks.

Rich, I own a TS in the north tower and stayed in the new building (south tower) several times. The new building houses the indoor pool and has a nice owners lounge on the first floor. The rooms all have flatscreen TVs and obviously it is "new" so everything is in great working condition. All rooms have the ocean "view". Not much else I can tell you unless you have specific questions. BTW, the north tower is now being renovated, at least on the outside.

We also own in the north tower, but recently (April 5-12) stayed in the south tower. As was posted by MWD, the south tower is about 1 to 1.5 years old and everything was in perfect working order. All units have an "ocean view" If you are requesting a particular unit in the south building request one that ends in a 4 for a two bedroom i.e. 604A or a 5 for a one bedroom unit as these are the closest of "ocean front" as possible. Also request at least the 5th floor for a better view.

As for the north building, they are working on the whole exterior and the top two floors on the interior. The front elevator was marked "closed for construction."

Be sure to check out the free stuff. They had a welcome continental breakfast/info session on Monday, free Sangria Party on Monday, free Margarita party on Tuesday (both down at the Grand Seas Resort with free transportation shuttle) and free Smirnoff Ice in the owners lounge on Wednesday from 11-1pm. They also had a cookout by the pool with hotdogs, etc for sale on Sunday and Wednesday and pizza on Tuesday.

It was a great week. Enjoy.

How do you know which tower your in if your exchanging with II? Can you drive on the beach in front of the resort? Thanks.

If my memory serves me correctly, the North Tower is older and the unit numbers are three digits. The South Tower is the newer one and then unit numbers have four digits.

What is the unit number on your confirmation?
