We have a trade soon into The Colony at Virginia Beach. Has anyone been there recently that can tell me how things are? Hopefully no hurricanes will be a problem before we go. Thanks in advance

I have never seen the units inside, but it has a great location and they spent a lot dressing up the exterior a few years ago. All units are oceanfront. The units should be large as it was originally built to be sold as condos.

we looked at unit there some years ago before the big exterior upgrade project.. unit are good size depending on 1 or 2 bed unit.. they have some unit on upper floors that are like penthouse style and they are BIG..

great location on the beach especially after the board walk project that was completed several yrs ago.. it all nice.. parking was scramble dog there as the spaces were limited under the building.. i think there was as overflow lot across the BUSY road..

I stayed at the Colony several times on an exchange. The units are all two bedrooms, two baths and quite large. There is a balcony for each unit with four chairs and a table, great view. The units have a stacked washer and dryer. The furniture is starting to show it's age but the units are well maintained and clean. They have a security guard on duty 24 hours. Each unit has one assigned parking space, if you have more than one car, you have too park it across the street in a public garage.
The timeshare is in a great location. I stayed in a penthouse unit and it is exactly the same as any other unit in the building, it's just on the top floor. The Four Sails which is further north on the Boardwalk has all one bedrooms with two bedroom penthouses on the top floor, which are huge.

Thank you all for the posts. We go next Sat and are hoping the weather will cooperate. The balconies are nice but not in cold windiy weather. Will be anxious to get away from the stink bugs and hope they are gone when we return. Let's hope they are not in Va Beach

Just checked out of Four Sails in Virginia Beach today

The weather was glorious all week and warm to hot! Just right for the end of summer. NO STINK BUGS!

Best wishes for a great week at the beach.
