How hard is it to book Thanksgiving at WDW or WKV? Both are home resorts and we would book 12mo out?

I'm a longtime WKV owner. Its very easy to book 12 months out. Thanksgiving week is all gone by 8 months, for all villa types. Occasionally you see 1 pop up as a cancellation, but not reliably.
It is not difficult to book WDW or WMH for Thanksgiving right at the 8 month mark. Our friends book several units for their family get together for Thanksgiving at WMH every year.
If it is your home resort, you can book at 12 months out which is easy peasy.
