This seems too early for me to be thinking about airfare for November but.... We will be flying from slc to orlando, (can fly into tampa), the Nov 18 and returning Nov 25th. I have been checking airfare because there will be 10 of us going. I havent ever traveled on Thanksgiving week, we usually go in October but because of school schedules we are going then. Has anyone had a success at getting low fares during that week. Does Southwest ever hot shot that week for the $99 each way? When I fly from SLC to MCO/TPA I dont pay over $240 r/t. Last year I got it for $150. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm not sure about fares -- but can't you call some of the airlines and enquire about group fares with a party that large all travelling together?

I don't think it's too early to be thinking about airfares for Thanksgiving. I booked our flights to Cabo for Christmas about two weeks ago. Since I booked our flights, the airfare has gone up $100 already.

Bumps

My son managed to get home to Norfolk from Florida where he was in College on one fare for four years. He would use his bump from one year to book a flight the next year and get bumped again over Thanksgiving.
This may not work for ten but you might keep it in mind. He always made it in time for dinner. One year he got bumped each way!
