The DH and I are pretty avid tennis players (actually, he's a very good tennis player and I'm an enthusiastic tennis player). Has anyone ever done the lessons at Harborside or done the tennis program at WMH?

Thanks.

Tennis

Hi, I am sorry that this will be less than a specific response. But , I notice that no one has posted any response at all. I am an older, but very avid tennis player. I took group lessons at the Atlantis. I was not disappointed. Our instructor was a former member of the Bahamas Federation Cup team. She knew what she was teaching and was very personable. I enjoyed my lessons. When I return I will sign up for them again.I hope this helps. Ben

I love to play tennis as well. Although I don't take lessons on vacation, we do play a lot. I actually enjoy playing in dry weather MUCH more than humidity. I have played in Palm Springs in the Spring lots and it is wonderful. On the other hand, I could not play when we were in the Caribbean a few years ago. It was so humid, I was just not feeling great playing in the heat. I guess I am not used to that sort of weather.

Off topic but DH and I lugged our tennis racquets to Hawaii the first time we went. Found a public court in Kihei but it was very crowded. Someone told us to try the courts outside of one of the timeshares. It was right next to the ocean and a beautiful setting. Then the tradewinds picked up and we looked like Laurel and Hardy.

Since then, we leave the racquets at home. ;)

There are few things hotter than being on clay/har tru courts in the middle of the Florida/Bahamas summer, I agree! But a good day of tennis is better than a lot of other stuff, especially if followed by a massage, some shopping, and good drinks in the evening!

I have a dream to take my tennis team to WMH for President's Day for a week of tennis drills and spa. (I can see all of you doing this :hysterical:) Think I'm going to have to get the DH to buy there for us to ever get that week!

Or you can buy me a Starbucks gift card and I can book my WMH for you one of these days. :)

I don't know if Starbucks allows gift cards in such high amounts!

I'll even let you play with our team! I'll PM you if we get our act together.
