Technical Question about Transferring DPs to another Member

I am attempting to transfer points to a friend. When I try to complete the form on the website (https://owners.marriottvacationclub.com/timeshare/mvco/points/usageoptions) it asks what year the points should be transferred from. I know they cannot be banked or borrowed or holding points (i.e., must be "untouched"). Since our use year runs from AUG 1 to JUL 31, is the use year the AUG date when the use year starts or the JUL date when the use year ends? For example, for the use year AUG 1, 2025 to JUL 1, 2026, is that the 2025 use year or the 2026 use year?

I believe the transferee will receive them with the same start and expiry dates (in this example AUG 1 2025 and JUL 31 2026 respectively). If this is true, will the transferee have the right to bank or borrow them once they are in their account or are they "forever frozen" to those dates because they were transferred?

The first day in your Use Year determines the Use “Year”, so, in your example above, those would be 2025 Use Year points.

Once they move to your friend, they are frozen… no banking or borrowing.
