Not sure. It looks mostly like one of the rip-off "vacation clubs" that charges a fortune to join and then just sells you leftover RCI stuff, but they also seem to actually own a few units at a few resorts. It may be a combination -- they sell to you based on the units that they own, but they only have a few of those, so mostly they just offer you leftover RCI stuff.
I just found out about that place because someone I work with spent a fortune on it. They are supposed to be all 2 bedroom places but alot of the places don't look too swanky. As far as I can tell, she was robbed. I was too when I bought from the developer but I own a really nice property and she owns the right to 3 'premium' vacations and the right to buy as many "excess" inventory weeks as she wants. Unfortunately, she can't afford vacations so it was a rip off but she asked for it. Go figure.
Don't do it! Two years ago, I had a weak moment and bought into it and my wife constantly reminds me of the mistake I made. You pay a large amount of money for a certain number of weeks. We bought 8 weeks -- for essentially about $300 per week -- and, I think I got a deal. I later learned that a friend also was a TAN owner who paid a lot more per week than I did. You are then entitled to use your weeks in the TAN system of resorts. However, you pay a processing fee for the exchange ($99) and then a $210 fee if you want a time in high season. Unfortunately, pretty much everywhere you would want to go will be during their "high season." So, if you add your initial costs of around $300 for the week, $99 for the exchange and $210 for the high season -- you paid around $600 for the week. Wait, you are not done yet. That gets you a 1 bedroom unit. If you want a two bedroom unit, then you pay an extra $210. Please wait a little longer for you are still not done. Each year you also pay a $300 Maintenance fee. It becomes a rather expensive vacation.
Lately, TAN has added some decent properties at some nice locations. Maybe this works for some people who can live with a one bedroom in low season. I simply didn't read all of the fine print on the extra charges. IMHO TAN is not worth it. You can do much better renting units or if a member of RCI or II getting last minute deals.
