Parents have had a Maui Hill fixed 1 week timeshare (july) for 30+ years and just want me to take over mx fees and change name as they no longer use. Figure I can use it or rent it but I want to do the transfer process the smartest way. Any tips?
Depends on what system it’s with. Don’t take it if you won’t mostly use it.Parents have had a Maui Hill fixed 1 week timeshare (july) for 30+ years and just want me to take over mx fees and change name as they no longer use. So what timeshare company is it with? What do you mean by what system it’s with?
I do think we will use it maybe every other year at least for a few years more. We enjoy it but I just don’t want my every year vacation in Maui.
Maui Hill/Maui LeaSo what timeshare company is it with?
That is the resort but is that the company info you are inquiring?Maui Hill/Maui Lea
What the maint? Who does it trade with? Beachfront? Ask yourself this. Do you want to be stuck with a TS you’ll never be able to get rid of? If he’s, then take it over lol. I’d keep it in their name and see how it works for you the next few years. If not, let it go.That is the resort but is that the company info you are inquiring?
Maint fees are almost 1k a year. They have a membership with RCI for it and I believe I can use Trading places too. It’s across from beach. We’ve always enjoyed using it. I just want to handle paperwork transfer in the most sense way is my main question. What the maint? Who does it trade with? Beachfront? Ask yourself this. How many points in RCI? If not points how many TPU do you get when you deposit the week in RCI?Maint fees are almost 1k a year. I don’t want it kept in their names if I’m paying as then I’d be a guest and not owner and to avoid other issues.
I get 59 trading power for the week on RCIHow many points in RCI? If not points how many TPU do you get when you deposit the week in RCI?
Ok that’s very good. Then keep it, worst case scenario is you use RCI a lot if you don’t want to go to Maui.I get 59 trading power for the week on RCI
Thanks for all your responses. Do you simplistic way to transfer to my name? Someone said I should buy it even for a low cost vs just gift it to me or name change on paperwork?Ok that’s very good. Then keep it, worst case scenario is you use RCI a lot if you don’t want to go to Maui.
I’m not familiar with gifting and changing the name. I’d say contact your HOA or resort and ask how they go about doing it. Your parents may just be able to ad you to the account so you can make changes and use without being a guest or you can use LT Transfers and pay a few hundred bucks and they will transfer the deed into your name. Thanks for all your responses. We stayed at Maui Hill once too - lovely resort! Last year my dad added my sister and myself to the deed for his Hawaii TS. LT Transfers handled everything efficiently and at reasonable cost. I’d highly recommend them.Parents have had a Maui Hill fixed 1 week timeshare (july) for 30+ years and just want me to take over mx fees and change name as they no longer use.
